OmniFormat, a tool developed by Software995 to meet your document publishing needs, will automatically process all the files placed in a selected input folder. You can, for example, set it so that all the files placed in the input folder will be converted to BMP and resized. The nice thing about OmniFormat is that it provides support for numerous formats (over 75 to be more precise) and that it comes with several editing functions (adjust brightness/saturation/hue, rotate, adjust contrast, change resolution, access PDF rights management).

OmniFormat can be installed on any 32 or 64-bit Windows edition from Windows 95 and 98 up to Windows 7 and 8. The installation process is a standard, straightforward one: download an executable, run it, click through the setup wizard. Please note though that you must have Pdf995 installed on your machine to be able to install OmniFormat. You first have to install PDF995 and only after that you’ll be able to install OmniFormat.

The Watch Folders section on the upper part of the interface lists all the folders you choose to be monitored. Files added to these folders will be processed automatically while OmniFormat’s monitoring function is running.

Beneath there’s the Output Format dropdown menu that allows you to choose one of the many, many formats OmniFormat provides support for: BMP, GIF, JPG, MPG, PDF, TXT, and many more. The files processed by OmniFormat will be converted to the format you choose.

Chlick the Options button and you will be presented with a few editing features: adjust brightness/saturation/hue, change the contrast, rotate the images, change image size, access PDF rights management, change resolution.

Click the Start Monitoring button and OmniFormat will go to work. It will take the files stored in the watch folders and process them based on your specifications. So if you add some JPEG images to a watch folder and choose to have them converted to BMP and resized, OmniFormat will do just that.

The OmniFormat free version will display sponsor pages every time you launch the application. Upgrade if you no longer want to see them.

OmniFormat will efficiently process just about any file you throw at it. After all, it comes with support for more than 75 file formats.

Pros

OmniFormat works with any 32 or 64-bit Windows edition. The interface is very easy to use. Support for a long list of formats is provided: HTML, DOC, XLS, WPD, PDF, JPG, GIF, TIF, PNG, PCX, PPT, PS, TXT, Photo CD, FAX, MPEG, and more. OmniFormat monitors watch folders and automatically processes files based on your specifications. OmniFormat is a free application.

Cons

You need to install Pdf955 before you can install OmniFormat. The free version displays a nag screen at startup.
